Most of us who’ve followed and loved Game of Thrones since 2011 wouldn’t mind being part of the cast. To be Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen or Jamie Lannister would be, well, pretty cool. Of course it’s not easy. You need acting chops and lots of luck. If that’s a bridge too far, the next best thing would be role-play, reenactment and costume parties, which is not as silly as it sounds, considering the number of exquisite replicas in the market with regard to the hit show’s clothes, weapons, props, etc.
There is a wide range of Game of Thrones costumes for sale online. With proper research, you can get excellent replicas for costumes worn by the major (and minor) characters in the series. Jon Snow’s winter fur. Sansa Stark’s wedding dress. Jamie Lannister’s Kingsguard attire. The Red Woman’s mystical wrap. That’s just four of several good quality costumes out there.
But why limit yourself to clothing? What about Game of Thrones armor, or weapons, or props? Much like costumes, there’s a cornucopia to choose from if you know where to look. What do you fancy? Eddard Stark’s Ice? Jon Snow’s weapon of choice, Longclaw, perhaps? Arya’s Needle would not be not too bad for a collection. Or for that matter, Oathkeeper, made of Valyrian steel, now with Brienne of Tarth but once wielded by the capable hands of Jamie Lannister. If you are brave enough (or stupid enough) to take on a White Walker then Dragonglass daggers are the weapons for you. Fancy taking on The Mountain? For that, you will need to protect your head, so go for a sturdy Game of Thrones helmet, maybe the full Loras Tyrell armor that the Knight of Flowers wore at the Tourney of the Hand. You might find it out there. The online world is full of happy surprises.
